This set of distinctive cups were designed using the majolica technique. The "majolica" technique dates back as far as the sixteenth century and consists of painting on an opaque white glaze or varnish. The method begins with painting the foreground using a stain paste and working backward toward the background so that each color is on a white primed base. Each of these cups are signed by the craftswoman who created them, giving each piece a unique value. Color: Black and white.
